opticians

Haven't been in years but need to get my eyes checked.
Which of you blind gits can suggest a venue.
Are boots opticians and spec savers that much different? Or is it pretty much the same everywhere?
Is there a stand out preference?

I got my Japs eye out in Specsavers once, thought I was at my GP's.

This isn't working out how I hoped.
How I expected, true. Just not how I hoped.

They are pretty similar mate. Boots often do free eye tests with a voucher you can get from their website.

There was always something rapey, creepy about Boots shops, or is it just my imagination attempting to cope with the sheer dullness of a Boots.

If you go to Vision Express they show you images of the inside of your eye. All very exciting.

Specsavers have only mis-prescribed me twice.
Boots found I didn't need specs (or at worst, very weak ones for if my eyes felt strained, which I suspected to be the case, and they were astonished I had been told otherwise.
So yeh, there's a difference!

Hold on - if ever Vision Express revealed the inside of Nurse's eye all the staff would surely be too traumatised to carry on and the entire company would have collapsed.

I have a friend who is an Optician, or Optometrist to be more accurately modern.
She is also an Indian and also a lesbian but can't tell her mum.
We dont often talk about her career given the alternative facets of her life.

What has her mum got against Indians?

Ask real life friends and neighbours who wear glasses for their recommendations. Seriously, I'm not being facetious.
